On May, all the partners of the European project ‘Ecologies of Care’ met in Larissa, Greece, hosted by Smouth.

We discussed the Erasmus+ KA2 project ‘Ecologies of Care’ and the start of the workshops.

These meetings are important for organising future work but also for strengthening ties with European partners. It is enriching to see how we work and relate to each other in Paris, Larissa and Amsterdam!

In the coming months, we will work on the concept of care, moving from self-care to relationships between two people: we will therefore talk about romantic love, sexuality, pornography, attachment styles, work-life balance, friendship, consent and much more.

The meeting in Larissa also provided an important opportunity to deepen our shared understanding of care as a social, cultural and political practice. Through a series of participatory activities and discussions, partners explored topics such as invisible work, consent, discrimination, collective responsibility and sustainable workplace models. These exchanges helped us identify common challenges across our different local contexts while strengthening our commitment to developing inclusive and meaningful educational resources together.

Beyond the practical planning of upcoming activities, the gathering fostered a sense of trust, collaboration and mutual learning among the partner organisations. The ideas and reflections generated during the workshops will contribute to the next phases of the project, including research activities, the development of learning materials and future international meetings. We left Larissa inspired, motivated and excited to continue building a European network centred on care, solidarity and social transformation.
